SA Hiking Challenge

Natalie Bottroff and Carolyn Mounce will be hiking in memory of Tracey Lee Diamond who sadly lost her battle with bowel cancer in February 2014, aged just 41. The challenge will see them hiking for two days, covering approximately 80 kms of the Heysen Trail. Wish them well and support this cause.

Natalie's Story:

Through netball I met Kaye, Tracey Lee’s mum. We have known each other for over 30 years. Kaye is an articulate, kind and generous lady as are Tania and Tracey. Kaye would speak with pride about her daughters and their achievements. I was in disbelief when Kaye told me about Tracey’s diagnosis, a lady, so young, so beautiful and so talented.

I am walking for Tracey, my dad who is a survivor of bowel cancer and for everyone else who has suffered present and past.

Carolyn's Story:

My beautiful auntie died from the complications from bowel cancer and then Mum was diagnosed about 13 years ago. We are fortunate she got through it, but it was a close call.

Seeing someone go through chemo, lose their hair and all the other side effects makes you realise the importance of prevention and the dreaded 'poo test' and colonoscopy.

Together, we want to raise funds for the not-so-sexy cancer, and The Jodi Lee Foundation. If you would like to help us in our efforts, please visit our page and help to raise awareness and highlight the importance of early detection to save lives.
